The Boatsmen is rock´n´roll for the preparty, the dancefloor, the afterparty, the seduction and the hangover. The Swedish quartet themselves describe their sound as an exciting bar brawl between Ramones, MC5 and The Beach Boys at a derailed punk rock show.
Following a split 7" with fellow Örebro constellation The Submissions, The Boatsmen released their anticipated full length debut in February 2013. The self-titled maiden voyage is available on vinyl 12” and digitally through garage/punk label Zorch Productions (The Scams, Barbwires, Flaming Sideburns among others).
Follow up "City Sailors" was released in March 2015 by german labels No Balls Records and Rookie Records.
The Boatsmens ecstatic live shows, captained by charismatic front man/animal Håkan Ficks (also handling beard and bass duties for The Durango Riot), has gained praise across Sweden. April 2013 saw their first tour overseas, as they conquered Germany together with Irish-German hard rockers Black Sheriff. The band has since returned to the land of currywurst two times and is planning to take to take the rest of Europe and the world in a not so distant future.
